Lauren Callahan, CTRS

Lauren Callahan earned a B.S. in Recreation Therapy at Temple University and is currently working toward a Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania.

As a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Lauren has had a variety of experiences working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in adaptive sports and recreation. Currently, she works as a Therapeutic Day Program Clinician providing naturalistic behavioral intervention in the Early Childhood Program. Lauren aims to use play as a modality to increase social and communication skills among preschool aged children with autism and related disabilities. In the future, Lauren hopes to continue exploring and implementing evidence-based recreation activities among underserved populations.
