The Garcia Lab is moving! Ben Garcia has been recruited to join the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics and the Epigenetics Program (http://www.med.upenn.edu/epigenetics/) in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. The lab attends the American Society for Mass Spectrometry conference in Vancouver, Canada. We had 5 posters (Barry, Bhanu, Masa, Michelle and Shu presented) and talks by Laura-Mae, Rosie, Nick and Ben.

Ben Garcia gives an invited talk at the 11th Annual Symposium of the New York University Center for Genomics & Systems Biology in New York, NY.

Tobias Maile has joined the group as a postdoctoral researcher, welcome Tobi.

The Garcia lab is mentioned in the article “Controlling The Code” from ACS Chemical and Engineering news magazine which describes how pharmaceutical companies are becoming more interested in epigenetic space for drug discovery.
