Mona Gizaw is a clinical research coordinator working on Dr. Melanie Pellecchia’s PEACE study. This study is focused on understanding parent coaching in the early intervention system for children with autism and developing a toolkit to increase implementation of parent coaching based on these findings. Prior to arriving at PCMH, Mona graduated from Penn with a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Societies in 2018. She decided to pursue research post-grad at the Center due to her interest in community outreach and bridging barriers to appropriate health services. In the future, she hopes to use the skills learned in community-based research and apply it to her own medical practice. In her free time, Mona enjoys running and finding new places to eat in the city with friends.
