Anna grew up in Western Massachusetts and received her BA in Psychology and Neuroscience from Williams College in 2019. During undergrad, she worked across several labs studying the behavioral and neuroinflammatory consequences of stress, immune activation, and TBI. She then spent three years as a tech and lab manager at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Anna is broadly interested in studying the neurobiology of psychiatric illnesses that involve repetitive behaviors, including addiction. As a student in the Neuroscience Graduate Group at Penn, she is co-mentored by Dr. Liz Heller and Dr. Julie Blendy. Her work will focus on the genetics and epigenetics of opioid addiction. Outside of lab, she enjoys cooking and baking, photography, and game nights with friends.
